Where does a family of seven go on vacation? |
Travel Info I have a family of seven, four of them are children. They want to go to the beach this week for a five-day vacation. We live in the Detroit area. Where could we go that won't require more than a four hour drive? Travel Tips Off the coast of Sandusky is kelleys island. It is a lovely little island and your family will have a wonderful time. Check out their web site for how to get there, where to stay, and what to do. BTW, there are several islands in Lake Erie which would provide you with a quick get away. Pointe Pelee is an option - but since it is in Canada you'll have to worry about getting birth certs or passports ( thank you bin Laden) - another island is Put-in-Bay ... On each island you'll find cottages to rent, small motels and B and Bs all at various price ranges. good luck Source(s): http://www.kelleysisland.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/lake_erie... Other Travel Tips Cedar Point.. They have a beach and a few places to stay near it. How abouit just a 30 Minute ride out to Metro Beach on Metro Parkway off Lake St. Clair or Four Bears Water Park on 21 Mile and Ryan or Belle Isle? Oh, the Great Wolf Lodge is also a wonderful attraction in Sandusky, Ohio, being an Indoor Water Park. Traverse City is nice. Still a little cool at nights though. They have a Great Wolf Lodge which is very nice. I agree with the others with Cedar Point and Castaway Bay(indoor waterpark). go camping at Sleeper State Park in Caseville (top of the thumb) It will take you less than 2 hours to get there they offer small cabins for rent http://www.michigan.org/travel/detail.as... |
