Travel Info What kind of people hang around Somerset Mall, in Troy Michigan? Travel Tips I can't believe no one has answered this correctly: There are 2 sides of Somerset Mall. The origianl side, home to Saks and Neiman Marcus, Betsy Johnson, Oililly and Crate-n-Barrel attracts one type of shopper.. a wealthy one. Then you cross over the pedestrian bridge to the other side and it is a regular, american shopping mall: Nordstrom, Macy's, Eddie Bauer, Gap, Bath&Body, etc. The restaurants on both sides tend to be upscale: Capital Grille, McCormick& Schmidt, CAlifornia Pizza Kitchen.. But the "regular" side has a food court on the 3rd floor. Many upscale stores have failed here: Henri Bendel, FAO Schwartz, etc. So it just goes to show you the state of the economy in Michigan, even in Oakalnd County! Others Homos mostly Somerset is upscale..... not your typical detroiter. It is as white collar as it gets.. It's an Upper Class Mall, so the Mid-to-Upper Class usually shops there. However, you must dress fancy in order to blend in. Seems to me I've seen Matt G shopping there with his special friends. ... People with money. An upper class crowd. |
