Travel Info What are some good places in detroit that are good places to visit? Travel Tips Its just sad when people answer questions that they have no idea about. Sports- Comerica Park, Ford Field, Jow Louis, The Palace. There are casinos- Greektown, Mowtown, MGM. Museums- Detroit Institute of Art, Detroit Science Center (w IMAX), Halocaust Museum, Charles Wright African American Museum, Greenfield Village, Henry Ford Museum. Cultural Neighborhoods- Greektown(downtown), Mexican Village (West Side), Polish Village (Hamtramck), Arabic Cultural Area (Dearborn). Theatres- the State Theatre, Fox Theatre, The Fisher Theatre, The Masonic Temple, Chene Park. Good Restaraunts Foxtown Grille, Small Plates, Mosaic, Carls Chop House, Roma Cafe, Coach Insignia, Sweet Georgia Brown, Seldom Blues, Vincents, Lafayette Coney Island. Great Bars- Delux, Rhino, Cliff Bells, Coachs Corner, Buzz Bar, Town Pump, State Bar, Proof. This is a small guide of the highlights Source(s): My Life Other Travel Tips NADA!! GL with that! downtown is really nice.....depends on what your looking for though......everything north of 8 mile is nice too Henry Ford Museum is close to Detroit. Also there's Windsor, Canada nearby. Hmm, Ohio isn't far... As for Detroit, no reason to go there. Greektown is a lot of fun...Or head to Ann Arbor for great ethnic choices of food! It really depends on what you're into and somewhat on what time of year you are going. If you're into sports at all plenty for that. Gambling - casinos nearby. Themed restaurants. That's essentially everything I go up there for (and concerts/shows as well). |
