Can anyone recommend cheap parking around Comerica Park?

Travel Info
A friend of mine and I are going to Comerica Park at the end of the month to see the Tigers play....can anyone recommend a good place to park that is not that pricey and is not a far walk from the ballpark? Thanks in advance!

Travel Tips
Park at the Greektown Casino and get your ticket validated. You will pay nothing for parking and the lot is very secure. Also, there are great restaurants and bars in Greektown so before or after the game you will have many options.

I suggest that after you park, you go get your ticket validated in the casino as if you forget to get it validated, it will cost you.

Park in a secure lot! and pay the price for it. Do not park on the city streets! CAR Break-in's are on a RISE in the city, The police does not want the public to know about it. So pay the 30 bucks to park! it well worth it.

During the home-stand last month there was about 15 car- break-ins and theft of cars.(it won't be reported to the public)

Edit
just found out form a buddy that is still on the force that the tigers first basemen Casey 's car was broken into at Detroit City airport, stole his wheels off his truck, smash the windows took the the radio and other stuff he had in his truck.

I was at Comerica Saturday and I found a lot for $5. It was on the corner of Bagley and Grand River. Its a little bit of a walk from the park but well worth it to me. Also you can try parking at the casino, its free there if you remember to get your parking validated. Good luck.
over at cass & bagley....$5 week, $10 weekend...and their guarded........across cass from the old ramada inn/labrynth/city club
You're best bet is to park a couple of blocks away in whichever direction (like go down the street next to Fox Theatre a couple blocks for example). My boyfriend and I went up a couple of weeks ago and paid $10 for about a 10 minute walk away. I think if you park in or close to Comerica its (at least) $20-25.
my husband(who works downtown from time to time) and i park on the street, usually around cass and elizabeth. the lot attendants will try and get you not to park there, but we do anyways. if you don't have a super fancy car, i would say that it doesn't matter if you park on the street instead of a lot. we have an 01 saturn and the odds of it getting stolen are probably slim. they charge way too much in those lots and we won't pay to park there.
