What is the best/your favorite thing to do in Detroit? |
Travel Info I am looking for some positivity here-negativite vibers should move on to the next question. The best answer will be in the city (not the suburbs) and it will be off the beaten path-going to a game or musuem isnt going to cut it. People need to know why Detroiters love their city. Belle Isle bigger than Central Park in NY is one of the best things in the city. One of my favorite things to do is sit by the water at Chene Park or Hart Plaza-no maybe its the drive down Jefferson, from Detroit through St Clair Shores. Tell me what keeps you here! Travel Tips My favorite things to do in Detroit are: *walking around Belle Isle (I got married at the Scott Fountain, so it's a special place) *Greektown, the food & ambiance can't be beat *going to the fireworks every year *walking along the waterfront *WinterBlast is lots of fun, even if it is mostly advertising *ice skating or checking out concerts at Campus Martius *taking the people mover around town. It's quick, cheap, and can give you some nice views of downtown. Others TO buy a car I the love the Detroit science center and the Detroit institute of art. And Hart plaza when there is a concert I visit the Henry Ford ( village ) many times through the Summer and the Museum at Christmas I go to the Flower Conservatory in the Winter when I need the tropical weather feeling I go to many ,many concerts in Detroit I go to Comerica Park to watch the Detoit Tigers play I go to the Leland City Club at least 3 times a year to giggle at the costumes/kids I go to the Woodward Dream Cruise every year- never have missed it I go to the Detroit Zoo once a year I go to the detroit Historical Museum in the Winter or when there is a interesting exhibit I go to the Detroit Science Center when there is a great exhibit I was born , raised here in Detroit , Dad was a cop in Detroit 1956-> 1996 I proudly bought my 1st house at age 19 in Warrendale area, son was born in Detroit and I still live nearby I'm here because I am stuck for now but plan on leaving come September. But while I am here the best thing to do in Detroit is go to church and go to Tiger games. My favorite thing to do in Detroit is to hop in the boat with a few friends and spend a Friday evening off the coast of Detroit Listening to concerts at Chene Park. With good company, good music, and good food. An Afternoon on Lake St Clair and the Dettoir River cannot be beat. go to a tigers game and walk down town |
