What is worse the east side of detroit or the west? |
Travel Info like crime- wise Travel Tips I can guarantee you that both of the people that previously answered your question don't live in Detroit, and have probably never been there. Crime wise, both areas are relatively equal. The west side may have higher numbers of crime, but they also have a larger population, so it's proportioned evenly. Both sides have older homes near downtown, so those neighborhoods close(not directly in downtown) to downtown generally appear to be a bit rougher. For example the Linwood/Dexter area of the West side is pretty rough, and the Harper/Van Dyke area of the East Side is rough as well. Both sides have decent parts as well, Indian Village on the East side is great, and Palmer Woods & Rosedale Park is good too. Overall, crime happens on both sides, you should just be aware of what neighborhood you're in - no matter what side of town you're on. Others well detroits eastside is uglier and probaly worse i mean detroits westside has more gangs and all but the eastside is much worse. plus in the center of detroit eastside is a city called hamtramck which is a meltin pot meanin there is a bunch of diffrent ethnic groups poles, albanians,bosnians,africans,af... american,arabic and indians which causes alot of racial tension alot of murders The westside of course. At least on the eastside you can wear stuff anyway you want without getting shot. Matt1180, **** you from a life long Eastside Detroiter. you are trying to get a riot started..lol ppl are going to be on here to claim what side is the best side (where there at) ...like its so glamorous to be on the worst side of town...but to be honest no side is better than the other...cities of all states east or west is a target for crime...i grew up in the depths of both...no difference....what makes a difference is how deep east or west you are...not just plainly east or west!!
