I heard GM World in detroit is free, so does that mean you can walk in without any reservation of any kind? |
Travel Info i wanna go this weekend or next and am not from detroit ? can i just walk in off the street for the tour during their open hours Travel Tips Yes it is the Ren Cen and they have more than just GM in that building. There's also good restaurants like Seldom Blues. They also have shopping, etc. They used to have a movie theatre there but I haven't been in awhile so I don't know if it's still there. Others You could park at the Renaissance center which is also a Marriott Hotel and is where the GM World is located. From there you can easily access the People Mover system and also the bus system which could take you down Woodward avenue to Commerica park to see the game. The #53 Woodward bus stops right on the corner of Jefferson & Woodward outside of the Renaissance center for the short ride (10 min or less ) down to Commerica Park. If coming in from a suburban location you could also just ride a SMART suburban bus into town and avoid traffic and parking issues all together. www.ddot.com www.smartbus.org GM World in the Ren Cen? That's what they call it?? Trust me, it's no big deal. Just basically a showroom in the basement of the Ren Cen. A better thing to do is go on the new riverwalk which you can get to from the wintergarden of the ren cen (on the water side)... |
