Travel Info Does dom rep have lots of hurricanes in july? Travel Tips Generally no, but you never know. =) Others NO see http://www.visiting-the-dominican-republ... weather page Although the hurricane season 'technically' runs through from about June to December, it is rare for hurricanes to cause trouble in July. There can always be the occasional tropical storm (hugely heavy rain - often a refreshing blessing - for a brief period followed by sweltering sun) there may even be some high winds whipping around on occasion (but not so much as will cause major mayhem) -- but generally the hurricane season saves its worst for late October/November/early December... However, with the weather doing such funny things over the past couple of years, who can really say? If you are planning a trip, then July should be all right from that point of view. No the worst months for hurricanes is September and October. Hurricane season is from June 1 to Nov 30th.
