Travel Info I'm going to Punta Cana next week...anyone have any suggestions on what to bring or do when i get there? Travel Tips you need sunscreen, hair sun protection, toiletries, diareah tablets, sun hat...... they do trips out to paradise island, safari's, there is a water theme park, snorkelling............... oh, if you go on safari, take some pencils, sweets etc... to give to the children :-) Others Bring plenty of sunscreen as it is very expensive. What ever you do, don't rent a car. It is a stark reminder or the Amazing Race. You're expecting to see a clue box or Phil standing on the corner .There are virtually no traffic laws. If you are heading from the airport to Bavaro Beach is about 90 minutes. We arrange our own transfer as it's much quicker & more comfortable. The Hotels offer tour packages from Jeep rides in the jungle to snorkel tours. US currency is widely excepted, although you may receive Dominican Pesos in return. You can go horseback riding along the beach, and of course drink!! =) i think u should visit the place then to the pool my mom and i did the safari tour one day, and visited saona island on another day. the safari tour was really cool. they had a huge truck with seats in the back, and they drove you all around DR. they let you try there most popular drinks, tobacco, coffee, chocolate... and they show you how they make it, where it grows. very educational. then we went to saona island. it was a jet boat that took you out that first stopped where star fish like to hang out. you get out the boat and play with them while they serve you drinks. then the jet boat continues to the island. there you relax, get a massage under a palm tree. then you take one of those catameran boats back while they serve you more alcohol (rum and coke). good times. getting drunk with my mom. we bonded. Bring sunscreen. And leave your wallet at home. Tissues, if your room does have kleenex is it pretty rough. |
