Is it bad to travel in May to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic? |
Travel Info I leave saturday and I see rain in the forecast. I could kick myself right now :( Travel Tips There is always rain in the forecast in the carribean.. b/c storms usually come in quickly in the evenings & then the sun pops back out & dont worry the days should be hot & sunny!! Hurricane season is from June-Nov so atleast you are safe from that. Good luck & like I said I am sure you will have plenty of sun to go along w/ some rain!! ENJOY!! Others i am too, i really need an answer also It is not the best spot in the dominican republic Golden Jail Hotels, but the weather is fine, if it rains it is for 15 min and then.. sun again I hope you will enjoy it, but next time go to Puerto Plata!! ya they always have rain in the forecast. the rain only last for maybe 20min then its gone then u have sun agine. we went in jan once and it rain 15-20 min every day then after the rain we got sun agine. but the only thing is tho if it rains the rain hurts. but it really didnt brother me tho. but have fun enjoy the weather! been there When I went in late July last year, it was nice and sunny, when all of a sudden a storm passed by in the evening but immediately cleared up thereafter; most of the other days was hot and sunny... you should be ok for the most part... It is not a bad time to travel in May to Punta Cana. I would suggest to avoid traveling during the hurricane season, from June to middle November. Don't worry about the rain. If it rains, it will last a few minutes. When I visited Punta Cana , the tourists were not paying attention to the rain, they were thinking about getting ready for the night show. The most important is to have fun!!! |
