Do i need a visa to travel to santo domingo?

Travel Tips
You don't say what nationality you are, but if you're a U.S. citizen (or a British one or a Canadian one, in fact), you don't need a visa to travel to Santo Domingo, as long as you're not staying longer than 60 days, which I'm sure you're not.

What you DO need, however, is a tourist card -- and this can be purchased when you arrive in the Dominican Republic for USD$10. Alternatively, you can purchase it from the Dominican Republic Embassy or Consulate (I've given you a link below.) If you don't live near one, though, it's easier just to get your tourist card when you arrive.

Don't forget also, that if you're arriving in the Dominican Republic by plane, you're going to need your passport, thanks to the new rules that were put into place in January of this year, requiring that all U.S. citizens have a passport when traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, Bermuda, and the Caribbean. If you're arriving by sea, you don't need your passport -- but you could do as soon as soon as next January.

Hope this helps -- have a great trip!

A tourist card is required, and can be purchased for $10 at consulate or Dominican airports at entry points. Tourist card permits a legal stay of up to 60 days. Source(s): I'm an editor with Travelocity.

Yes you need a visa to travel to the Dominican Republic, however some countries don麓t.
If you are from the USA, Canada or most Western European nations, you do not need a visa to enter the Dominican Republic. You will need to purchase a tourist card to enter the country.

If your country doesn't appear on this list of nations below you WILL need a visa to enter the Dominican Republic.
