Going to a museum dedicated to colombus...? |
Travel Info if you have been to any museums of the dominican republic,was it interesting?thanks and by the way how far is it from santiago? Travel Tips faro a Colon in Santo Domingo was dedicated to Columbus by the Pope in 1993. It shoots a cross-shaped beam of light into the night sky (if the electricity is on!) His mausoleum is inside that building, supposedly with his remains, but that's been disputed by Spain. Also inside are displays donated from other countries in the Americas. Not too far away is the governor's mansion that was resided in by Columbus' son, the first governor of Hispanola. Santo Domingo is a couple of hours from Santiago. Others One Museum is dedicated to his first arrival point in the Isla Ispa帽ola and that is located in Isabela (near Puerto Plata) next to house wich i rent to tourist, there is also the first church of the americas.
