What is the Best Place and Beach to visit in the Dominican Republic? |
Travel Info I would like to take a vacation in August of this year to the Dominican Republic, but I am unsure on which place to spend my vacation. I would like to know where to visit and would like a nice clear beach. Travel Tips Punta Cana by far. Puerto Plata is beautiful but the beaches there are absolutely NO match for the crystal clear waters of Punta Cana. That area is basically newly discovered and they have virgin coconut palm areas. You will NOT believe your eyes when you are looking straight at your feet and the sand in the ocean. :) Source(s): Been to both places several times. Other Travel Tips Punta Cana the Barcello chains are nice.Most resorts are all-inclusive,food is good ,beach is great.Just watch when you go,it rains a lot their.Fogey In august the best part of the Dominican Rep.is Puerto Plata with big wide beaches ( all new) very good all incl. resorts much to see more than in Punta Cana (rain) lot of excursions to discover the backyards, culturte, night life, diving, surfing, kite surfing (world best place) and so many more as Ocean World. Just contact me for more info, I麓m a tour operator in Puerto Plata. Bye Bye Gilbert I visited Puerto Plata in April and LOVED it! The ocean isn't "caribbean blue" but it is still gorgeous. We visited Sun Village Resort and Spa. Puerto Plata is very laid back, relaxing, and is the perfect place for a Dominican vacation. I would go back right now if I had the money. Puerto plata: ocean world on cofreci beach next to sun village resort. Santiago: Cascada water park Santo domingo: alto de chavon We went last year and stayed at the Sun Village Beach Resort in Puerto Plata. It was awesome, the rooms were great, the staff was amazing and the resort itself is something to see. It has 7 pools, many bars and restaurants with great food and a disco as well as nightly entertainment and a truly fabulous spa. 5 minutes away is Ocean World which is worth the money, you can swim with sharks, sting rays, dolphins and go snorkling in their man made reef. I have been to many resorts and many Islands and never I have I been so taken as with this resort. You will read some poor reviews but ignore them this resort is worth going to.
