Anyone staying at the occidental grand punta cana between may25-june 1st? |
Travel Info anyone stayed at this resort before; whats it like? or other resorts in punta cana? any tips for all inclusives? Travel Tips not me Others This area of the Dominican Republic is a big tourist area with a lot of hotels. The Grand Occidental is middle class hotel from the Occidental Resorts. If you wanna discover the country then Punta Cana is not the right place, the town is about 38 miles away. Next time go to Puerto Plata, bigger beaches (new) and a lot more to do Enjoy it guy麓s! I麓m a tour operator in the Dominican rep. Gilbert Hi, If you're talking about the Occidental Grand Flamenco in Punta Cana, yes, I've been there 3 times. We tried the Barcelo Caribe, which is more or less the same standard, but we really prefer the Grand Flamenco. For the kids, the pools are really great with their gentle slopes. There are a lot of trees on the beach so you can find shade when all the parasols are occupied... or 'reserved' :-( The rooms are quite large. The bathrooms need updating though... Food is ok.
