Should I be planning a trip to the Dominican Republic in early August? |
Travel Info Is it during rainy or hurricane season at that time over there? I'm looking specifically at Punta Cana, and want the weather to be warm enough but not scorching hot. I passed on Miami since it WILL be scorching hot by then. Travel Tips The hurricane season in the D.R. usually begins in August. Late August is when it starts to get bad though up until the end of October. Either way, unless there is an actual hurricane, it won't be raining every day. It usually rains for about an hour and then everything dries up really fast. Others In august Punta Cana is too uncertain about rain and even hurricanes, so I suggest you Puerto Plata, bigger and better beaches (new) more to see and to discover! Because Punta Cana next town is about 38 miles!! I麓m tour operator for VIP, so if you need more info, help, or booking just contact me. Anyway Enjoy it! Gilbert sure...is a beautiful place...nd there are not many hurricanes i lived there for 8 years..., No NO NO! that is hurricane season, if you are lucky enough not to get hit with one while you are there, it will surely be raining. |
