Punta Cana to Sousa?

Im going to the DR and am thinking about a side trip to Sousa.I do not speak or read any spanish.How do I get there?

Three ways: Rent a car and drive. It will take about four hours each way. Rent a taxi -- it will be expensive. Or you can take gua-guas (local buses) that stop along the roads but it could take all day. I suppose there is a fourth way, which would be taking the regular bus, called a Metro, but you'd have to go from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo, change buses and then take one to Sosua. It can be done but that will take, oh, probably seven hours each way

It is more than 6 hours to drive to Sosua. You can get a Bus to Santo Domingo which is about 3 hours and another bus to Sosua which is 4 1/2 hours.

You don't want to make that trip. You can't do it in one day and you will have almost 2 whole days of traveling. Punta Cana is a place carved out of no where to build all inclusives. Bad move to go there in the first place. You could have gone to an all inclusive in Florida for all the difference you will notice.

There is really nothing to do there besides the AI's.
