I recommend that because it is a big slow down point in the DR when you arrive. If you are flying in on shedualed airlines the exit fee is already included. Most charters they are not included and you have to pay when you leave. That is $20 US dollars. Remember to have exact change in US money because they don't take local Pesos for some reason.
