Travel Tips
The " Isla de la Mona" is a isolated rock in the Mona channel between the 2 islands. The sea is very dangerous!! Sharks!
the info given by "dianndetol" is correct!
The better small islands are: Isla Saona ( Natural Park)
Isla Catalina and Isla Beata ( Natural Park)

Isla de Mona is a very small island in between PR and Dominican Republic as you said. Nobody lives there. There are a lot of Iguanas in the island, but very big scary ones. Not many people like to go there because some people had disappeared there before. There is nothing much to do there, it is just a big rock with a lot of pretty nature.
I grew up in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the closest city to isla de Mona.
To go to Isla de Mona you'll need a permission by the National Park to go there. Could find iguanas , but theres also a ligthhouse,
