How humid is it in the dominican in july?

I have heard everything from "oh, it's so humid it's terrible" to "it's not humid at all". Does it depend on where you are in the country (i'm living in Santiago but traveling all over country) Can anyone help clarify?

If you live in Santiago ( I was there today!) then you must know about the humidity in the Dominican Republic, I live in Puerto Plata and this is a little bit more humid than Santo Domingo. You can see the weather on Yahoo weather!
