Is it possible that I can travel to Dominican Republic with just:...? |
Travel Info I sent my passport renewal application and i doubt it'll be here by next week friday (day of my trip). Do you know if i can go with my birth certificate, my school ID, and a notarized paper by my mother (because i am going with a third party and i am a minor)??? I NEED ANSWEWRS PLEASE!!!! Travel Tips Just bring a photo ID, birth certificate, and proof that you have already applied. Because they got so backed up with the applications, they temporarily waived the law for people who have already applied for passports. You definitely need that notarized letter from your mother since you are a minor. Have fun! Others Sorry, but no. As of January of this year, you must have a valid passport to travel anywhere outside the U.S. by air. I work for U.S. Customs and Border Protection Bring official photo I.D. and proof that you applied for a passport & you'll be okay. They updated the rules Friday since it's taking so long to get passports. http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/newsroom/news... You can check with the DR Embassy, but you probably need a passport. Call the office of your US Representative (Congressman) to ask for help with getting the passport in time. Call the offices of both of your US Senators if you can't get through to your Representative or they tell you they can't help. CALL TODAY. If you are under the age of 18, get an adult (ex. your mother) involved in calling your Representative. sorry but as of january you need a passport to travel anywhere outside the US by air and as of may it is necessary for crossing the border by land also |
