i just came back from punta cana a month ago, maybe it's different weather now but when i went it was really sunny half the week and the rest was cloudy with a little rain, so it was mixed weather. Pretty damn hot though

Now Punta Cana should pretty nice, but maybe a bit rainy. Dominican Republic is really nice. I've been, and my Dad's from there. Try Puerto Plata too.
If you're not from a warm weathered country you can go to Punta Cana at any time of the year and you will find it hot. Their summers are obviously hotter than their winters but they are still hot none the less.
