Here's one Peter Sykes who took a TC flight to the DR: === Thomas Cook Airlines - by Peter Sykes (15 March 2005) My wife and I have returned today from Dominican Republic after enduring being bumped off our original flight - as TCX 62 had been split into two flights. The flight should have been direct leaving outbound at 9.30 am and arriving at 15.00 . We endured a 7 hour delay (our original flight went on time, full of Thomas Cook package holidaymakers - we were First Choice) plus a 14 hour flight via Halifax, Nova Scotia. The return was worse - 17.00 scheduled departure, actual 16.00 the next day -- told to go to airport for 15.00. No one there, told rep maybe coming at 18.00 After lots of aggravation sent to hotel overnight, with no details of when to go to airport again. The Airtours rep sorted everything out for us. Thomas Cook have consistently told untruths about the original Airbus flight - that it had been damaged the day before, but on enquiries they have been doing the same thing for at least 5 weeks. === I never knew TC had their own flights, but from what I've found for you here it doesn't look very reassuring, does it? Yikes. |
