Travel Info whats sumting cool to do in the DR besides swim all day? Travel Tips Check out La Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo.There you will find the first buildings built in America. The First street,The first Cathedral, The First sunclock,etc.Lots of buildings hundreds of years old,lots of history. Theres also an acquarium, lots of museums, The highest peak in the caribbean, and a place that imitates Seaworld(theres no killer whales) Others Try a visit to the mountain where they mine Larimar, and collect amber, try scbadiving, horseriding, visit the naturist colony, rent a motor concho or scooter, if in north of the island, visit Sosua and cabarete, go on a jungle tour. But in the DR it is crime ridden and corrupt (I lived there for 3 months) so be very carefull with money and posessions, muggings happen, and the police are also corrupt too. There are a lot of things to do in the Dominican Republic, there are mountains to climb, there is water rafting, there are museums to visit, there are caves with indian carvings not too far from La Romana. |
