Hows the night life in Punta Cana?

My boyfriend and I are going at the end of Oct. or begining of Nov. and want to go to a fun place. We hear alot of good things about Punta Cana but have not heard much about the night life. Can anyone suggest a good resort that has a night life?

They have different clubs depending on what kind of music you like.
