Travel Info What is the best hotel to stay in in puerta plata, Dominican Republic? Travel Tips A lot of people stay in Playa Dorada, in Puerto Plata. Its a resort with several hotels, you can pick any you like to stay in. Others You will definately want to stay in Playa Dorada. It's basically a gated Hotel Community with Restaurants, Shops, Tours, and a little night life. It's a great location because it's 20 minutes from Sosua which you'll probably want to visit and 30 minutes from Cabarete. Both of which are accessable via the main highway outside the gates of Playa Dorada. That depends what ur looking for..... IF u want to party and have fun and don't really care for the beach the BAHAIA PRINCPE SAN JAUN is the place to stayed.....I LOVED IT......it has a swin up bar the staff is very freindly the food isn't that bad at all even teh buffet was good, and the A LA Carts were good as well...the rooms were clean they have a night party every night where u can latin dance the night club is GREAT this i s all locared on the street even a casino a hair salon and other shhopping I would TOTALLY go back....but if ur looking to go ibnto the ocean it's not the greatest.
