I Googled "travel partner" and the first link that popped up was this:

You should go alone if you need to get away. See new things, meet new people, go new places--it's fun--I love traveling alone (though also travel with my fiance or family members on occasion).

This will give you the web sites of several organizations/agencies that offer travel companions. They work like online dating services, except you put in travel information/plans and what type/sex of companion you'd have the best time with on travel. I've used www.travelchums.com and find it very helpful. As with any other online service, you need to be cautious. Enjoy your trip!
i think you're going to Punta Cana...and I think you've been there before...I would say go alone it's a very safe and protected island for tourists...not a lot of English spoken though...if you need a travel partner because you get lonely...just list the specs you're looking for...there's a lot of travelers out there who would LOVE to share expenses...it costs "mucho" to travel alone!!!
