We are traveling to Occidental Grand in Punta Cana in Dec., and we are looking for excursion info? |
Travel Info how is the bus ride to the resort? mini bar w/ beer? enterainment for kids? 10&12 yrs. old! Dolphin encounter? Travel Tips yes there is several excursions in punta cana. we stayed at the sun scape punta cana grand and sun scape the beach within a year. we booked your trip thru apple vacations. when we got to the hotel we had a meeting with the apple Representative there and went thru the excursions and price of each. we went to mantie park and swam with the sharks and rays. went on outback safari this takes you into the country side and get go boogie boarding. check out the hotel on their web site. i know that sunscape had kids program. have fun!!! the roads are not great in punta cana lot of pot holes. When you get to the hotel, you will be greeted by excursion agents who will pass out pamphlets on there adventures and excurtions, ask them questions. Most set you up with travel to and from the hotel and include the pass into the park/adventure. We also went out on a jungle safari. It took us on a HUGE jeep with a group of others to a coffee bean/ banana plantation, a sugar cane plantation, and into little towns and a private beach. (If you like buying native stuff-buy the Vanilla extract from a plantation $1.00 for a HUGE bottle (AMAZING) buy coffee, and cocoa. See the real Dominican Republic. Lots of kid entertainment...Just ask the hotel for a schedule. Our mini bar had a 6 pack or beer...we bought more from the resort store. Snorkling is always fun. Some excurtions will let you drive our on a jet ski (in groups and take you to several snorkling spots. Some takle you out on a boat. Snorkling adventures I would reccomend to 10-12 ages and you mom. Also they usually have entertainment shows at the other close hotels or at the Occidental. The bus rides are very safe. If your lucky, the driver and greeter will have a big cooler of drinks for you on the ride to the hotel. NICE WAY TO START. Wait till you see the Airport. It looks like a huge HUT...with the grass tops. Too funny but VERY COOL! Have fun |
