Know any decent resorts in Puerto Plata, DR? |
Travel Info Has anyone been to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic? My friends and I are planning to go and are looking for a 3 or 4 star all inclusive resort. Our price range is between $1000-$1500 CAD Does anyone know of any that are worth mentioning? PS. We're not going for luxury, more so to tan, drink, dance, and eat :) Just a reminder that we're fifteen 20-23 year olds Travel Tips I went to Paradise Beach & Casino last year and it was fantastic! But it isn't luxury - clean rooms. good rum!!!!!, food is decient. Both Tourists and resort workers are very friendly! I am planning a trip back again this winter (jan to be exact). I also have been to Fun Royale I don't suggest this one..lots of people had dirty rooms, bugs, wasp nests. Resort workers were friendly but tourist that go there were kind of snobbish.. Paradise is also right on the beach - the other ones have you have to walk or take a shuttle. (it's free) there (short 5 minute shuttle ride. Good Luck in your search - if you decide you go you won't regret it!!! Jack Tar I think it is called is supposed to be great for single women looking for a good time but I have never been there so I can not say for sure. check out trip advisor (reviews on hotels) - not sure of the exact website address but that might help you out.
