Travel Info We're looking at going to Dominican in November, which is best side of island to go and whats weather like? Travel Tips the weather is always nice there but you do realize your going in hurricane season.... Punta Cana is nice very resortish lots of white sand beaches lots of Europeans....not much to do in my opinion. Puerto Plata in my opinion is alot of fun lots to do during the day and at night. I recommend the Playa Dorado complex ...Grand Ventana..Lots of night life and the town of Puerto Plata is a 10 minute walk away. However being on the Atlantic side the beaches aren't as nice and there is alot of coral in the water not nice to step on but nice to snorkel around. Others The Caribbean hurricane season lasts from June 1 to November 30. http://www.rhodatravel.com Punta Cana is beautiful but it's about an hour ride from the airport, and there is not much besides the resorts. easT SIDE. stay aWAY FROM THE WEST SIDE. If you go in november you can visite Punta Cana. It has the most beautigul resorts and good price. Take the Punta Cana airport so the ride wont be to long. In november the beach is not the greates thing but you'll have a good time. Hope it helps. I h\go every year there but is better on summer or april. |
