Whats the import allowance allowed when coming back to the UK from Dominican republic for cigarettes & alcohol |
Travel Info i am wondering how many cigarettes and alcohol you are allowed to bring back from the dominican republic into the UK Travel Tips The Dominican Republic is outside the EU so the old rules, as far as I know, still apply. Each adult (no children under 17 are granted any allowance) is permitted 200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 50 cigars or 250 grams of hand rolling tobacco, 1 litre of spirits or 10 litres of beer or 2 litres of fortified wine or 5 litres of wine. Fortified wine being over 14% alcohol by volume. This includes sherries, port etc. Others Cigarettes is something like 3,200 if I remember correctly 200 cigarettes; or 100 cigarillos; or 50 cigars; or 250 gms of tobacco. PLUS 2 litres of still table wine. PLUS 1 litre of spirits, or strong liqueurs over 22% volume; or 2 litres of fortified wine, sparkling wine or other liqueurs. if the dominican republic is in the eu for fags its 3000+ and alcohol is a lot to but cant be sure how much though if its not in the eu then its 200 fags which is crap and a litre of alcohol |
