Travel Info I've noticed travel dryers etc.. have a different voltage or current, do I bring my appliances, or buy new? Travel Tips Be careful if you buy transformers for your dryer etc. The transformer needs to be large enough to handle the wattage. Dual voltage dryers may be the way to go for you. You simply flip a switch to 220V. They are reasonably priced. Be sure to get an adaptor that fits the wall plugs for that country. Others Buy a voltage converter. You can get them at places like Radio Shack, AAA, Penney's, etc. It depends on where your staying as most hotels will have an adaptor you can borrow or you can pick one up at the airport of departure. Have fun! |
