Travel Tips
its not terribly expensive any time.

Others
From October to February. It depends of the hotel and what part of the island you're going to. The north side is cheaper than the east side, but the east side is prettier.
I live in the Dominican Republic, so I know.
I didn't know the price of consumer goods changed with the time of year.
Right after X-mas I will say February is one of the best times you will see the carnival and Have fun!
anytime!! My girlfriend and I went in March of this yeasr (2006).

All inclusive was like 2500 bucks total. Now we didnt have the deluxe suite or anything, but had a king bed with small lounge, very romantic for the two of us, but we also saw some families that seemed to be enjoying themselves. that price included small tips we left every day for maids/waiter/etc. trust me, leave a couple bucks everywhere and service improves 10 fold
tntvacations.com is the site we went through to go.
