Travel Info Does anybody know the customs of dominican republic? Travel Tips WE dominican are very easygoing people....very enthusiastic when we come to politics or baseball....... we love partying....drinking beer.....and dance merengue Others Typical Latin American, but a little more informal, people are nice there, dont worry about them being too formal and stuffy Yep, as you've learned here, the "legal" drinking age is 18. You will, however see people of pretty much all ages drinking in the streets. Some clubs may be a little tougher on the age, but not very likely if you at least look close to 18. We are in 2 words, happy people; we like to party, some more than other, you have people that like the underground live, almost the hole country loves merengue and salsa, to speak loud, to eat sancocho (like a stew), and drink presidente (our national beer!), just hang with friends or do what ever. You can find a lot of families very united, the religion is something that the people really follow here (catholic is the most important one), and in almost every neighborhood, you are going to find a grocery store, with a lot of people sitting drinking beer and playing dominos. AS well we love to fight about politics and our national baseball teams. LICEY RULES!! :D Happy people... |
