Thinking of visiting the Dominic Republic need advice..? |
Travel Info How much can I expect to spend on a bus to go from Santiago to Puerto Plata? How much is an average-ish hotel of (Red Roof Inn) quality in a city with bars and a GOOD night life scene? Do I need to speak spanish to converse with people there? Are these cities humungous like NY or town-sized? Travel Tips First things first, are you flying into STI? Why not fly directly into Puerto Plata? Typically you can catch a regular bus for like $300 pesos, depending on the currency at your travel time that can be anywhere btwn $9-$11 US dollars. If you are to take the Metro it can cost you about $110 pesos, which right now is like $3-$5 US dollars. A cab will cost you a bit more. If you are going to be in Puerto Plata you may want to take a look the resorts in Playa Dorada. You can go around from resort to resort and enjoy all they have to offer, when it comes to night life. A 5 star all inclusive resort is rather inexpensive. Throughout my travels to DR, I find that its a lot cheaper to just show up rather than to make reservations. Enjoy your stay in this beautiful country! Source(s): Dominican Descent Other Travel Tips will i been just to punta cana so i cant help u out with puerto plata. and the bus deal they have been payed for when i went down there b,c of the traveler we went threw. I'm sry i really cant help u out with those questions but i know the cities are not like NY the only one that might be the biggest is santio Domingo(the capital). i traveled threw the cities on an excursion. been to the DR twice Go to Sosua instead. More fun and more things happening. English is also more widely used in Sosua than Puerto Plata. Costs 80 US dollars by cab and hotels run from 35 to 55 a night. Europa Hotel in Sosua is 55 a night during high season and I own the bar and restaurant there. I only work till 2pm so stop in and I will point you in the right direction depending on what you are looking for. You can also stay in a literal Flea Bag place for 22 US dollars a night. I live here for 5 years I hear the hotel are anywhere from $40-$60 per night for a for a red roof in type hotel $125-$300 per night for the best hotels. The night life is great filled with parties, music, local foods and more. You dont have to speak spanish if you dont want to.Thanks http://www.4cheapvacations.ws bigmoneymaker34@hotmail.com |
