When is the best time of year to travel to La Romana, Dominican Republic? |
Travel Info Bayahibe La Romana, Dominican Republic I received an all inclusive package for the Viva Wyndam Dominicus Beach resort so I have several blackout dates I must deal with. I can choose three separate dates, and then the resort will tell me of those three which one I can use. Travel Tips Go during the winter months. The weather will be more bearable during these months. If you go in summer time, you will be sweating non-stop. It gets really hot. The only time I go back is in the winter time. If you go in February, there will be celebrations and parades until the 27th, which is Independence day. If you can try to go to Boca Chica, it's a little far, but they have beautiful beaches. Also, Puerto Plata and Nagua has nice beaches but they are on the north side of the country. You're actually pretty close to PR also. Source(s): I was born in Santiago, DR Other Travel Tips For weather -- Winter For prices-- Summer or Fall. DO NOT GO BETWEEN APRIL AND SEPTEMBER IT RAINS EVERY DAY! The rainy season starts around the end of October and ends at the end of January ... but who cares! The rain is warm here and it rains for 20 minutes at a time unless you get caught in a storm! When you would be most comfortable would depend on your body's ability to adapt to hot weather. June is hot, December is the opposite end of the scale for us (cold), so if you prefer cooler weather come closer to December ... if you like hot weather then come closer to June. :-) I've lived here for over 5 years :-) |
