Are you staying at a Riu Hotel? These three hotels all share a Carribean Street, which is a shop filled street, which also includes the childcare center, salon, and billiards.

Others
The road that goes by the ocean is called the Malecon. The major North coast road (ONLY)going east to west is Route 1.

Other than those two I have no idea what you would be referring to.
