My boyfriend and I are 27 and we don't want to get the whole wet t-shirt contest, beer chugging, MTV "Spring Break", etc. experience (been there, done that). We want a nice resort that isn't "spring break-ish". We do want a decent night life, just not all drunk college kids. Tiki bars are what we are in to, not clubs. Does anyone have any advice for us? Thanks in advance!

I don't think Dominican Republic is really known for the spring break atmosphere. I went to Punta Cana last spring and I was really worried about spring breakers also because we were on our honeymoon. It was more of a relaxing peaceful atmosphere with no spring breakers. A lot of resorts require at least one person per room be 21. I would contact the resort just to be safe but I don't think you have anything to worry about. |
