What does "casual elegant" dress mean in Dominican Republic resort restaurants. Do men need jackets tie etc.? |
Travel Info Travelling to a resort in the Dominican Republic next week and the resort uses "casual elegant dress code" in some of the onsite restaurants. I don't want to take a jacket with me unless needed. Travel Tips Casual elegant dress means for men, long pants, a shirt with a collar and shoes (not flip flops)For women it means, a sun dress, skirt, pants, capris. No jackets needed. They don't want you to be in shorts and tee shirt with flip flops. Have a great trip. Others No need for a jacket. They want a casual atmosphere but no jeans, t shirts and flip flops. Go for some upscale casual clothing. They say "casual elegant" so nobody shows up in a bathing suit or shorts. As long as you have long pants and a polo tee, you'll be fine. Absolutely no need for a jacket! My husband always wears a polo tee and pants. Never have we had a problem..... Happy travels! when you go to a resort you bring only sport clothes, when they tell you that it means that you should bring fine pants and a nice shirt, casual, no need for ties or jackets, it just means that you wont enter with shorts or towels and stuff like you do at many buffet restaurants of resorts. take care, and make sure to make reservatiosn at gest service as soon as you get there. |
