What to do in La Romana , Deminican Repulic? |
Travel Info we are going on vacation there and was wondering what to do Travel Tips la Romana is a small town located in the east part of the Dominican Republic.....in town you can find nice bars and a few restaurants and a couple of dancing clubs........very near town is Casa de Campo which is one of the most exclusive resorts in the word and it is frequently visited by hollywood stars,famous polititians,sport people etc....but to go there you need to be a guest of the resort........you can visit ALTOS DE CHAVON which is a recreation of a small european village and it has nices bars and restaurants.......i suggest that you go to Bayahibe beach which is only 30 to 40 minutes away and it is an amazing beach with lots of great hotels Others When staying at a hotel in la romana, you can take a tour to saona Island, and also Catalina Island, also, you can visit Chavon, and Outside La Romana, visit Wonder Caves. You may also go to town in La Romana, where you could find places to drink and dance. Ive heard that La Romana has the most amazing beaches and is beautiful, but very unsafe. A friend of mine experienced barbed wire around the resort she stayed at and it was not recommended to go exploring. Check out www.tripadvisor.com and read up on some of the reviews.
