What is like in DR ? |
Travel Info can someone tell me some stuff about the country ? like some history , traditions , fun facts , things about the people , good plces to go , etc ? im curious . o and also any etiquitte things in the dominican republic what about music - traditioninal and modern and urban if you can - also if u could send me any nice pictures of any sights that would b great kiss_of_a_dreamer@yahoo.com :) thanx Travel Tips DR is a beautiful place to go relax and enjoy the sun. The people are friendly and hard-working. The music is lively and mostly consists of merengue and bachata. I recommend going to Puerto Plata it's not so crowded with tourist and is more laid back. The country has a lot of poor but much beauty if you know how to appreciate clear waters and sand and lots of trees. The main religion is Catholic, so becareful not to travel around Easter many places like discos, etc are closed or end early in observance of the holiday which normally lasts a week. Others The DR is very warm with lots of natural beauty. Spanish is the first language there, but many people that work on resort know English. The currency is the DR peso. 1 US dollar is equal to about 33 DR pesos (at this writing.) It's a lovely land with lovely people! http://www.our-vacation-adventures.com/t... |
