Are most vacations sold on Ebay scams? |
Travel Info My family and I wanted to go to the Dominican Republic, but are worried that the vacations that are sold on Ebay are going to be scams. The deals are pretty good. Travel Tips Not sure but I wouldn't trust them because if they are there usually isnt a way to get a refund or it might be hard to get on. I've found travel sites like orbitz.com or travelzoo.com to be much better. Travelzoo.com is great because they show you the deals that are listed on all the ofther travel sites so that you dont have to go to each one individually. Others Probably not all of them but I've heard some are. Sorry i can't be of more help. I wouldn't do it. Perhaps it's not a scam but you definitely couldn't find better deals than if you talked to a travel agent. Go to AAA, if you are a AAA member and they have travel agents that help you book your trip for free. Also, call a vacation planner at one of the resorts you are looking for. They can often help you out on when to get the best deals. Ask them some questions like when do they post the new deals for the week. I've heard to get the best deals, they get posted at midnight. Prices go up and down on these things so just keep looking and you'll see the price vary by around $200. Also try not to travel in peak season. If you aren't taking a trip in June, July or December, you will get better deals. If you see a good deal on Ebay, look up the company online. Check the BBB website and check to see if the individual company has a website. If the website looks like a fly-by night, with incorrect spelling and no real information, than its a scam. your Cut鈥?br /> way too many SCAMS! go to a travel agent.
