Have you ever been to SANTA DOMINGA in the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC? |
Travel Info I was thinking about vacationing there but I have no idea if it's a good place to go. Can you give me some information about it? Travel Tips You mean Santo Domingo. It is the national capital of the Dominican Republic. It's good for nightlife and casinos, but not a place you would want to vacation in. You might want to go to Puerto Plata or Punta Cana instead. Santo Domingo has good historical sites, but is mainly a residential city and has many government offices. Others First of all the name is: SANTO DOMINGO, the capital of the dominican republic. this is were most history lies, also entertainment, casinos, restaurants, fun, people, discos and everithing you can think of. the Island has a lot of nice places, beaches, mountains, there are lots of stuff to do, enough not to repeat anything. the weather here is always warm, except for the mountains where it can get better, but never so cold. regular temperatures there are 14 c to 22 c or so. DR, nice place to visit, never ending activities... You must mean Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic. Santo Domingo is the oldest city in the Americas, you could find in it the oldest cathedral, the first university, it was once the Seat of the Spanish government in the "New World". There is a very active night life, there is a Symphony orchestra, there are a lot of artists. There are good museums to visit (although not as good as you could find in major cities in the US and Europe). In brief, I recommend it highly. I live in Santo Domingo. |
