Dominican republic, bavaro, east coast?

i'm thinking of going here have a few questions for people that have been.
Is it the carribean sea?
Can you visit the dolphin park from there?
what is there to do outside the hotel?
Any good excusions?
hows the scuba diving/snorkeling?

I can answer some of your questions. Bavaro beach area is a mix of Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. This area is called Punta Cana. In my opinion this area has the best beaches and some of the nicest resorts in the Dominican Republic.
I have been to DR, 3 times and you will love it.
