Anyone been to the Dominican Republic?

I'm going to the Dominican Republic in early April. I'm staying at an all-inclusive resort called Punta Cana Grand. Does anyone know anything about it? I've looked it up online and found some sites with people's pictures and stories but that's about it. If anyone has been there let me know how it was.

Sadly, I haven't been. The only thing I can offer is that a very good friend went to the DR for the PeaceCorps, loved it so much she never came back. Bought a house, settled down and couldn't be happier. So it must be a great place! Have lots of fun!!
All-in resorts are very bad for the Dominican people. Just go to a normal hotel and participate in the economy, please.

AI's are ruining the lives of small business owners all over the island like a disease.
