Best all Inexpensive all Inclusive resort? |
Travel Info Can anyone recommmend best all Inclusive resort leaving from Newark,NJ In May. Travel Tips My choice - Boca Chica, by far! Punta Cana & Puerto Plata are nice and have some great resorts, but Boca Chica is on the south end of the island and the beach is on the Caribbean as opposed to the ocean. There are many all-inclsuives. The Dominican Bay is the cheapest and pretty good. The Coral Hamaca is the most expensive and has a private beach. Our favorite, (4 visits so far) is the Don Juan Resort. Fairly reasonable, has all amenities, great people and last time we were there (February 07), most rooms had been upgraded. p.s. take lots of U.S $1/ U.S. $1 = better service Others I booked my honeymoon on yahoo travel and stayed at the Grand Oasis playa in Cancun. About $1400 for 7 nights all inclusive and flight for two from Houston. Accomadations, food, entertainment, and beaches were great. We stayed 4 nights at the Akumal location and 3 nights at the Cancun location (they let you transfer at no charge to 5 different hotels they own). We just booked Excellence in Punta Cana...we're leaving out of Newark on May 22nd. It seemed really nice and heard lots of great things about it. Maybe we'll see you there! Best bang for your buck is Casa Marina in Sosua. You will need to fly into POP (Puerto Plata) and it is only 10 minutes from the airport. It is in the center of everything and only a few minute walk to most things in town. Get out of the resort and hang out. Don't listen if they tell you it is dangerous because they are just trying to sell you tours and scare you into going with them. have a great time. |
