Travel Info Where would be the most romantic place to propose while in Dublin? Travel Tips Killiney Hill Park, no doubt. Killiney Bay, with its magnificent vista, walks and beach has often been compared to the Bay of Naples. Dominated by Killiney Hill Park, the 200 acre Woodland Victorian Park offers rock climbing for the more experienced enthusiast, abseiling and intriguing walks to be enjoyed by all. The Radio Beacon on the summit of the hill, used as a navigation aid for aircraft, marks the 10 mile radius from Dublin Airport. The breathtaking view from Killiney Hill is an amalgam of past and present cultures. Dalkey Island appears just a stone's throw away. [You may even see Bono walking his dog] http://www.dlrtourism.com/maps/killineyb... Others Ha'penny bridge? Early evening, so you don't get the drunks from Temple Bar spoiling it (unless you're a bit of an exhibitionist - the drunks will be well happy for you both if she says yes!) Brave lad - congratulations for finding "the one", and good luck! :-) Modified 1 year ago Stephen's green or the pheniox park if you can find a nice sunny day but we both know they're rare in Dublin, if your looking for a resturant to do it or some place like that the Westen on Westmoreland st has a lovely bar and resturant and its part of a 5 star hotel (also the management are pretty cool in there so if you go in and ask them so something special for the big question they will be more then happy to help you). The Gravity Bar at the top of the Guinness Storehouse, its got 360 degree views of Dublin and you can celebrate with a pint of the black stuff afterwards. There's Joyce Tower at Sandycove,he can propose in the shadow of James Joyce鈥檚 literary genius while enjoying the most gorgeous views of Dublin Bay.Or if your looking for a cheap night out, do it in the middle of a pub in Temple Bar at night. You won't have to buy a drink for the night, they might try to wangle a few wedding invitations though. Somewhere outside of Dublin. probably, hit up the west coast, much more Romantic merrion square- its in the centre of town but really secluded as the trees obscure the buildings and the noise of traffic. Its got loads of bushes and flower beds that separate the park into little areas so you could prob find a quiet corner you could have to yourself- have a picnic- organise for it to be there when you get there! good luck! http://www.dublintourist.com/details/mer... |
