Tips on traveling to Europe? |
Travel Info I plan on speading the summer in Ireland after i graduate what should i get, do, and prepare for? Travel Tips Know some Irish history. Learn some Gaelic words. Don't go to tourist traps. Be sure to go to Western Ireland, Galway, Cork, Kinsale, Westport etc. Stay in an Irish Castle. Learn a song to sing before you go; anything but Danny Boy, they love Country music. Listen to the Chieftains. Go to a traditional Irish pub for a sing along. Don't miss Waterford crystal, Guinness, Kilkenny and the beautiful green landscape. Top O the mornin to ya!!!!! Others if i were u i will get a dictionary so you no what to say in there language. get ready to drink and be ready for rain, it's a beautiful country, i reccomend hiking and eating, pubs everywhere! if you have AAA go in to get some free brochures and maps. and have fun. Always keep you passport on you, bring a list of emergency numbers, including your banks and credit card international numbers, a travel book, I like Lonely Planet. Try to carry as little cash on you as possible and don't bring too many clothes. Also enjoy it will be the time of your life! if ur under 25 stay in hostiles. you also need a train ticket. but do not worry the are cheaper at the actuals tation the online. just plan where you want to go city wise. every city has a hostile there range 25-50 night. also you need is 2 pair of jeans. 3 shirts 1 pair of shorts..undergarments. this way ur travels will be light, plus there is plenty of markets to shop for new stuff. make sure you exchange ur moeny beofre hand to the countries you will be going. as far speaking...just learn the basics, hello, good day, good bye, please, and thank you. do not try to be fluent unless you can pronounce it right already...ciao Learn another language besides English. Remember you are going to places where English is not spoken and if others see you try to communicate even simple kind words, you'll be treated differently. It's kind of like here in the US, when and if I speak Spanish people tend to think that I am speak about "them". When really I am only asking is, how much is this type of cheese cost! I would never speak Spanish around Arnold Schwarzenegger! |
