How easy is it to procure a truck in Dublin? |
Travel Info I'm moving over this January and plan to buy a smallish used pickup and live in the back while I travel the country and paint. Does anyone have any references (car dealerships, etc) that would be helpful? Please, only useful information. Thank you! Travel Tips Living in the back of a truck in Ireland in January is crazy. Do you know how cold it will be then? It can go to -2 or -3 at night in January, you will freeze to death. It is possible to get cheap accomodation, there are lots of B&B's and guest houses, where you can have a warm bed. As for buying a truck, when you get there, check out the magazine 'Buy and sell' or the newspapers. Others Thanks! I'm not too worried about the cold - I lived in a bus for a winter in the high desert, gets to -20 there, and buses have as little insulation as trucks do. Yep, I'm a little crazy, but it hasn't killed me yet :) you could try www.buyandsell.ie or www.carzone.ie for a start. but you should also factor in car tax, insurance, NCT etc as this willadd a lot to your initial outlay.
