This can relate to anything from etiquette to money matters...just give me your best tips! Travel Tips 1. Get your alcohol tolerance up. 2. Don't talk politics or religion. 3. Call soccer football. 4. If someone buys you a drink, buy one back. 5. Bring a sweater and an umbrella. Enjoy the ride, I am married to an Irishman and have been there several times, it is a great city, Ireland in general is a very friendly country. Others i so want to go with you :( be respectful irish are big on that if you want to do good stay away from the beer its strong as hell its beautiful but apt to rain at any moment dont hit on anyone elses woman unless you want to spend most of your time in a hospital listen carefully the speach is thick and try to learn gaelic its the original language im irish i know alot about my people have fun good luck learn to skeak Duble. ;) 1. Don't be naieve, not everyone is your friend, some will be out to rip you off 5. Make the most of your visit and try to experience, and appreciate, the different culture. get a good steak before going Well, I'm not quite sure, as I've never been. I've been studying up on it, though - I'm heading over in Jan/Feb-ish to study on contract from my college. I'll be living in a truck, travelling, and painting for ten months; what about you? Where are you going to base yourself/go to school? I think the main thing I've heard is that strangers won't recieve a good welcome if they force themselves on locals - don't walk into a pub, sit down, and start telling everyone present about how amazing you are. Walk in and order a beer, be friendly, don't be overbearing - people will get to know you on their own terms :) (1) don't speak about politics or religion (2)take part in the night life (3)if you will be here during winter bring warm clothes (4)If you know words in Irish don't speak them (5)get involved in sports.Irish people love there GAA(cumann luthcleas Gael)IE football and hurling best of luck |
