Travel Tips
South city centre:
Cafe en seine is one of the most spectacular cafe bars in Europe. This cosmopolitan bar located on Dawson Street is unique in terms of ambience and style. This is across from Eason on Dawson St near the side entance to Trinity.

Dublin鈥檚 first and only southern hemisphere bar, located under the Stephens Green Shopping Centre, Down Under in Major Toms is a mecca of all things Australian, New Zealand and South African. This is in front of Dunne's Stores in Stephen's Green.

North of the Liffey, right on the "board walk thing" near the river are these nice places:
Pravda: a Russian decorated bar (across from Ha'penny Bridge)
Zanzibar: an Easten-influenced trendy bar/cafe (on Ormond Quay)
Voodoo: showcases live original bands (a bit out there on Arran Quay)

If you aren't into crowded city centre pubs:
Oil Can Harrys is on Mount St. (past Merrion Square) and has a student crowd during term time. It has great food and the staff are nice.

Clubs in Dublin:
They charge quite a hefty cover, esp. the ones in the city centre.
1. Ri-Ra
Dame Court (off Dame Street which is near Grafton Street)
2.POD
(near the head Garda station on Harcourt Street)
3. Fireworks: used to be a fire station
(on Tara Street near Trinity)
4. Club M (not nice, but in the Temple Bar area, located in the Blomm's Hotel)
5.Spy Bar is one of Dublin's hippest bars and is situated on South King Street in Powerscourt House.(off Grafton Street)
6. Lillie鈥檚 Bordello, Adam Court, Grafton Street, is where visiting pop stars, actors and celebrities hang out for after-show parties.

Out of Dublin:
Johnnie Fox's Pub
Glencullen
Dublin Mountains
Co. Dublin
The highest pub in Dublin and a great place to go on a warm sunny day.

Others
Temple Bar is the place to go - full of great pubs.

However, for something a bit more posh - Huey from the Fun Loving Criminals owns a bar there which is meant to be very cool.

That gives a review of all the clubs.

Have a great time!

Nell.
Temple Bar will be full of loud tourists and stag parties.
If that's your thing, knock yourself out.
You won't meet many Irish people though.

'Good' pubs do not let stag groups in and are not full of people having drinking competitions.
Go to Temple bar, its good. XXI on D'olier street, near trinity college, and Redz at O'Connell bridge are good nite clubs to try!
